Customized Fan wall unit for cooling various data center layouts

Lennox-branded Fan Wall Unit (FWU)

LFB Group has introduced a new Lennox-branded Fan Wall Unit (FWU) as part of its ApX Series range for hyperscale and edge data centers. The modular cooling system is designed to support growing compute density, AI workloads, and edge deployments. Key components include high-efficiency electronically commutated (EC) fans, advanced coil designs, and configurable options to optimise airflow and heat exchange.

The FWU offers scalable cooling capacity ranging from 100 kW to 1000 kW and features a compact design focused on reducing both space usage and operating costs. Key components include high-efficiency electronically commutated (EC) fans, advanced coil designs, and configurable options to optimise airflow and heat exchange.

Its modular architecture allows seamless expansion and easy integration into various data centre layouts, ensuring effective temperature control in high-density environments. The ApX Series FWU is built to adapt to evolving infrastructure needs without the limitations of rigid designs.

LFB Group, formerly known as Lennox EMEA, brings over 60 years of mechanical engineering expertise to the data centre cooling industry. The launch follows the company’s previous release of the CRAH ApX Series.

Matt Evans, CEO of the Data Center Solutions division at LFB Group, said, “Cooling has always been one of the most pressing challenges facing data center operators. Our Fan Wall Unit is designed to deliver exactly that. It combines the performance, scalability, and adaptability that today’s environments require without adding unnecessary complexity.”
