Preethi Ramamoorthi, Director of HVAC Systems, states that the HVAC industry is experiencing advancements in energy efficiency, green building certifications, and smart technologies. Innovative solutions, including VWF systems, AI-powered predictive maintenance, and renewable energy integration, are shaping the future. These innovations enhance building performance and reduce environmental impact, creating growth opportunities across manufacturing and service sectors.
How do you see adopting green-certified HVAC technologies shaping the industry’s growth in the coming years?
The HVAC industry is one such industry which is of prime importance in our INFRA space. Its need has only risen over the years. There is a huge demand for efficient and comfortable systems. We have a promising frontline of newer technology incorporated into the HVAC industry. The HVAC industry is expected to grow its revenue by over 15-20 percent. This is a significant jump compared to last financial year. The industry is moving towards energy efficiency and green building certifications, which paved the way for huge advancement. The HVAC industry will see a rapid shift in its technological advancements and create employment opportunities in both manufacturing and service segments.
How can service integrators leverage renewable energy integration to improve HVAC system efficiency and sustainability?
Being a service integrator/ service provider, we need to be updated with the advancements in our industry. We have seen a drastic increase in demand for energy efficiency and optimisation systems. The combination of the best chillers and the best VRF in the VWF system is one of the finest advancements in terms of machinery that we have come across. This technology not only provides better efficiency but also provides minimal after-sales service OPEX.
As sustainability becomes a priority, the HVAC industry is seeing advancement in LED-certified components, particularly in IT buildings and manufacturing setups. Innovations such as smart home integration, advanced energy efficiency features, and improved indoor air quality solutions are reshaping the sector. The adoption of renewable energy sources like solar and geothermal is increasing, reducing reliance on conventional power. Moreover, the implementation of AI-powered predictive maintenance systems optimises performance. These systems minimise downtime and reduce energy consumption. These advancements enhance operational efficiency. They also ensure compliance with stricter environmental regulations regarding eco-friendly refrigerants.
How can innovative design strategies and smart building technologies contribute to achieving sustainability goals?
New technologies are driving sustainable construction practices, including energy-efficient design, renewable materials, and green building certifications. Innovations such as Smart building systems, green roofs, and solar panels are reducing environmental impact and operating costs.
Design is the core of any project. Design parameters include energy efficiency, space optimisation, lesser breakdown solutions, lower usage of carbon-emitting materials, and eco-friendly refrigerants. These are the most critical aspects in response to the client’s requirements. These aspects are the result of the latest technology. They improve the environment around the project/building.
How will the surge in LEED-certified projects impact sustainability and job creation?
In 2025, the market is projected to grow by 15-20 percent driven by expanding opportunities. A surge in LEED-certified projects will boost sustainable development. Additionally, rising demand spanning industries will create more employment opportunities, increasing economic growth and innovation in various sectors.
