Mitsubishi Electric India Intensifies Its Community Development Initiatives

Mitsubishi Electric India has given its consistent efforts in making positive contributions to the society through its products and technology.

The company works on a CSR Strategy which supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goals along with Government of India Initiatives. The initiatives have been categorised under Skill Development, Community Development & Climate Action. Mitsubishi Electric India has supported 43 schools with clean drinking water across 10 cities and continues to support them with regular up-keep and maintenance activity which benefits approximately 17,602 students.

Intensifying the Community Development program, Mitsubishi Electric India has extended its support to Government Polytechnic Industrial Training Institute situated in Manesar, Gurugram by donating and installing Air Conditioning in Highway Engineering Lab and Soil & Foundation Engineering Lab of the institution.

The purpose of the activity is to support the infrastructure of the Government Polytechnic Industrial Training Institute and help it excel so that students can get a comfortable environment to study and progress. Similar activity of Installation of Air Conditioners will be carried out by the company in 10 cities to support educational & health institutions which will have beneficiaries from weaker sections of the society. The launch activity was done by the Managing Director of Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd. Kazuhiko Tamura.

Addressing the occasion, Kazuhiko Tamura, Managing Director, Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd., said “Corporate Social Responsibility is not a onetime activity for Mitsubishi Electric Group but a way of life for us. Be it our products, solutions, or technologies, the fundamental of Mitsubishi Electric are to serve the society. I am glad that I got the opportunity to visit the sprawling campus of Government Polytechnic Industrial Training Institute, Manesar and witness the young students learning the skills that will help them to make the country stronger. I am thankful to the management of the institution who gave us the opportunity to serve them in the common goal of giving better learning environment to the students.”

The CSR Activity concluded with planting a sapling at the institution premises and refreshing the company’s commitment to a more inclusive and sustainable society.
