Güntner-Tata opens new logistics facility in Hungary

Güntner-Tata Refrigeration Technology Limited announced opening of its new 65,000 sqm logistics centre in Tata, near Budapest in Hungary.

The Güntner-Tata company was founded in 1990 by German manufacturer Güntner and Tata Hűtőtechnika, formerly a state-owned refrigeration cooperative.
Güntner manufactures industrial evaporators and air coolers relating to refrigeration and air conditioning technology, as well as other products that offer special solutions worldwide. Coolbridge Ltd. operates on an area of 65,000 sqm, including a 6,500-sqm warehouse, a 43,000 sqm storage system, and an office building.

Managing Director of the logistics centre, which bears the name Coolbridge Ltd., János Szabó said, “The goods distribution centre realised as a result of the new investment began operations on 1 December 2019 with 70 employees. An average of 60 heavy goods vehicles arrive at the facility each day, meaning the loading and shipment of 300-400 palettes of finished goods to over 2,500 addresses in over 60 countries on 5 continents.”

Managing Director of Güntner-Tata Limited Tamás Schwarczenberger said that the manufacturing of heat exchangers began at the plant in 1990 with just 31 employees. “Over the past 30 years, the Tata plant has grown to become the company group’s largest production plant, employing 1,300 people and realising EUR 169 million in turnover in 2019,” he adds.
