Mitsubishi Electric unveiled its new Environmental Plan 2025, which runs from April 2024 to March 2026 and is based on the company’s long-term commitments to tackling environmental concerns, known as the Environmental Vision 20501. The corporation updated its corporate group’s greenhouse gas emissions-reduction targets for 2030, which have been validated by the Science-Based Targets Initiative2 (SBTi) for compliance with the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C trajectory.

Mitsubishi Electric, which has made sustainability a cornerstone of its business, management philosophy, and environmental vision, intends to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions at its factories and offices by the fiscal year ending March 31, 2031, and across its entire value chain by the fiscal year ending March 31, 2051.

Mitsubishi Electric will continue to contribute to a sustainable global environment by consistently implementing environmental planning and SBT initiatives, such as reducing the environmental impact of its entire value chain, in order to achieve carbon neutrality, circular economy, and nature-positive goals.
