Johnson Controls is experimenting with OpenBlue Enterprise Manager (OBEM), a comprehensive building performance management platform, to improve its OpenBlue ecosystem, which currently has the highest implementation rating among nine other platform providers.

Johnson Controls, the global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings, was voted the overall winner of the Smart Building Management Platforms competitive assessment conducted by ABI Research, a global technology intelligence company. Researchers evaluated the Johnson Controls OpenBlue ecosystem of connected technologies and services, giving it the highest implementation rating among nine other platform providers.

For this competitive assessment, ABI Research compared nine major commercial building platforms capable of digitising, capturing, managing, monitoring, and improving the performance across a broad cross-section of commercial building verticals, applications, and portfolios. Johnson Controls received the highest overall score among the providers due to the company’s dedication to assisting existing and new clients with its highly effective OpenBlue platform and related services.

Johnson Controls OpenBlue is testing OpenBlue Enterprise Manager (OBEM), a software suite that provides a full building performance management platform for smart, secure, healthy, and sustainable buildings. OBEM combines data from building systems, utility bills, and AI-enhanced digital experiences to provide actionable insights for cost savings and emissions reduction. It also enables clients to streamline carbon disclosure reporting and assure regulatory compliance with building performance criteria. OBEM is used globally in commercial office spaces, healthcare, education, and campuses to provide real-time data visibility across assets, people, and processes, allowing for more intelligent and proactive management.
