Snowman Logistics ramps up operations to meet home delivery demand during lockdown

In a recent message to stakeholders, Snowman Logistics has communicated that the company is running their operations round the clock without any interruption., as cold storage warehousing and transportation are under essential services notified by the government. The notification came after the government decided to provide possible essential services to meet the demand for home delivery food, medicines and other essentials amidst the lockdown. Moreover, the company is taking all possible measures to ensure social distancing during meeting the supply chain business requirements.

With the national lockdown amid Covid-19 concern, the Prime Minister blatantly stated that only essential services shall be allowed to remain open throughout the lockdown. Ministry of Home Affairs issued a clarification that only facilities and supply chain of essential goods and services involved in manufacturing units, wholesale, retail stores, brick and mortar stores and e-Commerce companies shall continue their services.

Commenting on the operation, Sunil Nair, CEO, Snowman Logistics explained that there is an increased demand for food and essential services from our partners involved into pharmaceutical, QSR and home delivery business. “We take this as our top most priority to ensure that food reaches home, and adhering to lock down is better followed by the community by remaining at home. We thank all our team members who are working to ensure that food is delivered to our customers and from there to the consumers.”
