Carrier compact AquaSnap 30MP chiller transitioning to reduced GWP

AquaSnap 30MP Water-Cooled Scroll Chiller

Carrier has introduced the AquaSnap 30MP water-cooled scroll chiller, a small and environmentally friendly indoor chiller. The chiller, manufactured by Carrier Global Corporation, uses R-32 refrigerant for its low environmental effect, energy efficiency, and ease of operation.

Carrier’s most compact indoor chiller, the AquaSnap 30MP water-cooled scroll chiller, is more ecologically conscious and user-friendly. Carrier is part of Carrier Global Corporation, a global pioneer in intelligent climate and energy solutions.

The AquaSnap 30MP will include R-32 refrigerant, which was chosen for its minimal environmental effect, excellent energy efficiency, widespread availability, and ease of use. The chiller has been updated with new PIC6 intelligent controls, including a 4-inch graphic display with BACnet MS/TP or IP, as well as a new refrigerant.

The 30MP indoor chiller is available in two versions: condenserless and water-cooled. Its compact modular design makes it perfect for straightforward replacement, retrofit, or new build applications, and it can connect up to eight chillers for a total capacity of 640 tonnes (2,250 kW).

Carrier is dedicated to providing a better future for our planet and people by offering the best refrigerant for each application. The company is transitioning to lower GWP refrigerants in its chiller offerings, including R-513A, R-515B, and R-1234ze (E) in medium-pressure centrifugal and screw chillers, R-1233zd (E) in low-pressure centrifugal chillers, and R-32 in scroll chillers.

Lower GWP refrigerants help Carrier achieve its 2030 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Goals, which include assisting customers in avoiding more than 1 gigaton of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. The chiller is built at Carrier’s commercial HVAC facilities in Charlotte, North Carolina.
