When was Airflow founded, and how did it solidify its reputation in the industry?

Airflow was founded in 1973. Since our inception, we have consistently led the way in various aspects of our industry. We have been at the forefront of embracing new technologies and introducing innovative products. Our commitment to stay ahead of the curve is evident through our pioneering work in Air Handling Units (AHU). In 2008, we proudly claimed the top globally for efficiency, noise reduction, and air efficiency, earning coveted certifications like C-certification. Moreover, our close relationships with architects, contractors, clients, and consultants have played a pivotal role in our journey of excellence.

Can you provide an overview of Air Flow’s technological advancements and production strategies?

We are dedicated to integrating IoT technology into our products, aiming to make them IoT-enabled across the board. Our team is currently focused on the development of EC Fans. Air Flow is establishing a production line for EC fans in India, which will be a game-changer in the industry. Looking ahead, our goal is to transform most of our products into IoT-based and IoT-compatible devices. This strategic shift will improve efficiency, reduced power consumption, and the ability to gather real-time data, ultimately revolutionising the industry landscape.

The adoption of cutting-edge technology and the utilisation of CNC machines is imperative in today’s context. This strategic move has enabled us to attain higher production volumes, enhance efficiency, reduce wastage, and maintain standardised production processes. It’s an investment that yields substantial returns in the long term.

Air Flow is dedicated to achieving carbon neutrality by 2035. Our strategy revolves around boosting sales and profitability, which will be integral to our sustainability goals. We invest in green initiatives and aim to reduce power consumption, demonstrating our commitment to the environment and business growth.

How is Air Flow capitalising on the growth opportunities in India’s HVAC and ventilation market?

The Make-in-India campaign has had a notably positive impact on promoting the manufacturing of indigenous technology. This influence extends within India and globally, as people increasingly prefer products made in India. Our efforts align with this ethos, as we prioritise sourcing raw materials and other products and services from the local Indian market. We firmly believe in the “Vocal for Local” initiative.

The current landscape of India’s HVAC system and ventilation market is experiencing significant growth. India currently boasts a 3.5 trillion-dollar economy. Looking further ahead, India anticipates reaching the ten trillion-dollar mark by 2030 and an impressive 40 trillion dollars by 2047. India is currently in a booming phase, referred to as ‘Amrit Kaal,’ where businesses are poised for substantial expansion over the next 25 years.

This growth is closely tied to India’s burgeoning infrastructure development. Estimates suggest that by 2030, the demand for residential buildings will far exceed the current supply, with less than 10% of the required structures currently in place. Additionally, India’s active participation on the international stage is contributing to its infrastructure growth. These factors point to a significant and exponential growth trajectory for the HVAC and ventilation industry, as these systems will be in high demand to support India’s expanding economy and infrastructure.

How did Air Flow increase its exports over the past few years?

Over the past 8 to 10 years, Indian products have gained significance. The reputation of Indian products has seen a considerable rise during this period, leading to a greater acceptance of these products worldwide. Air Flow has doubled its exports in the last four to five years alone. We can now compete effectively in terms of product quality and pricing, further fueling the expansion of our export market. The future looks promising, with a growing number of inquiries coming in from overseas, indicating a positive trajectory for our international business endeavours.
